Utilizing Our Spiritual Tools

During one of my shower meditations, my focus shifted to the true meaning behind the tarot. What is the significance of the suits? How do they translate to higher forms of consciousness?

I already understood the earthly and metaphysical meanings of the tarot. For example, the wands suit corresponds to our passions, willpower, and creativity, as well as the element of fire. But why choose the wand to represent this in the first place? Could we be using something similar to wands in higher planes of existence? As we know, "as above, so below. As within, so without." Our rituals and routines and thoughts and feelings manifest themselves simultaneously in our planes of existence.

Swords

Our consciousness is infinite and omnipotent when it comes to our presence in various dimensions. So, for example, a person setting boundaries utilizes swords energy because they used their voice and intellect to discriminate, protect, and establish authority over their space. In a higher plane of existence, they used the element of air and possibly an actual sword if you go higher.

Pentacles/Coins

The same can be said for pentacles or coins, depending on the deck you use. Coins represent earthly matters such as career, possessions, success, money, health, family, and the physical body. It has to do with your rituals, or routines as it's generally called here, and what you get back from it. Going off of my theory, by repeatedly doing something here, we gather enough energy into a higher plane, which adds weight, so it manifests itself down here. It's an exchange of energy.

Cups

Moving on, we have the cups suit. This suit represents our emotions, love, and connections. It's the intangible energy that we receive and emit. The water in the cups cleanses, heals, connects, and allows our energy to flow. Water, in general, holds the information from which it came. Areas that are of a lower vibration tend to have water that is polluted. So, this could play out as receiving corrupted intuitive messages down here or jumping into a messed-up current in higher dimensions. Think about a tainted body of water with various deadly creatures that lead you to a location that's not in alignment. That's why we're told never to act when we're angry about some BS because it just leads us to a worse situation. But I digress.

Wands

I briefly mentioned the wands suit above, but I'll touch on it again to give us some more clarity. Wands represent our passions, willpower, and creativity. Fire is a powerful source of energy as it moves quickly and creates light. When someone is passionate about something, they will bring that energy into this reality, almost like magic. Consider the artists who can create abstract pieces with no physical reference. Think about the athletes who can achieve unfathomable feats with their intense willpower. They are using the power of their magic wand, sending that energy throughout the universe and creating what they desire.

I wonder if the creators of tarot had the same thought process? Anyways, these are my thoughts regarding the suits of the tarot at the moment. They may change as I advance through my journey, and that's ok. Before I go, I wanted to leave you all with a quote to reflect on:

"Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents, which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant." - Horace (Roman Poet)

Enjoy the rest of your day. Sending you the best intentions 🌸✨
