Creation Through Chaos
What if your mess is your magic? -Alexis Rakun
The above quote is from one of my favorite artists that played a significant role in my creative journey. Her content illustrates her personal growth to inspire others and possibly make sense of the world around her. I connect with Alexis because my content and services have the same purpose.
My spiritual journey began at a time where I felt like I was in a void. I knew I wanted to create content, but I had no idea what I could offer the world. All I had was my story, which I didn't think was enough. As time passed, I continued to procrastinate, but my spirituality grew deeper. I slowly started to pick on my gifts, learn various disciplines, and research the heck out of the questions that popped up in my head. After two years and a few traumatic events, the Universe pushed me into making my first YouTube video where I told my story.
Creating YouTube videos took me out of my comfort zone because it requires public speaking and being vulnerable, the two things I detest. However, this experience is bringing out all these qualities that I didn't know resided within me. I'm using the lessons, chaotic experiences, and dreams given to me as tools that help me create content to benefit myself and others. I'm still dealing with grief, depression, and anxiety, but I feel like that helps me relate to clients and followers who are going through the same.
My trauma is my art and inspiration. So, yes, my mess is also my magic.
***Bonus
The video linked right here is my first YouTube video. I tried to find a loophole in the Universe's calling by filming with a friend of a friend. Never again. I realized while filming that new people make me nervous, and when you add a camera, it gets 10x worse. So, we are only counting the one with me as my first video.
Also, since we're bringing up random facts, on my final day working at the gym (I used to work at a gym), a stranger came up with my brand name. We were having a casual discussion about how I wanted to make content, and we started brainstorming names on sticky notes. I still have those notes, by the way. It was between Blissfully Bri and Blossom With Bri, and the second one just felt right. We also came up with my slogan, "helping one achieve balance and bliss." I'm forever grateful to that woman wherever she is right now.
I hope you all are doing alright. Sending you the best intentions and love 🌸✨
